CANADA DAY CELEBRATION

TELETOON celebrates Canada Day with marathons of some of its finest homegrown programming starting at 1 p.m. ET/PT on July 1, 2012.

Johnny Test (Special Marathon)

Airs Sunday, July 1 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET/PT

Tune into back-to-back episodes on Canada Day of this action-comedy extravaganza. The Gemini-award-nominated series Johnny Test chronicles the adventures of a fearless 11-year-old boy, his genetically engineered super-dog Dukey and his 13-year-old super-genius scientist sisters Susan and Mary. Using Johnny as their guinea pig, Susan and Mary strive to solve the trials and tribulations of adolescent angst with out-of-this-world scientific experiments.

Skatoony (New Episode and Special Marathon)

Airs Sunday, July 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET/PT

TELETOON presents a new episode followed by back-to-back episodes on Canada Day. Adapted from the U.K. version of the innovative children’s quiz show, Skatoony is a Hollywood Squares-inspired animation and live-action show for kids, featuring real-life kids and an assortment of well-known animated characters from other TELETOON original productions. Hosted by Chudd Chudders and his sidekick announcer The Earl, this series features contestants competing in four side-splitting trivia-based rounds to win bragging rights and a terrific prize.

Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (New Episode and Special Marathon)

Before a new Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes premieres at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT fans can catch up on some of the action with three back-to-back episodes starting at 7 p.m. ET/PT. The Avengers have fought against some of the most powerful and dangerous super-villains in the world. But just when the team thought they had things under control, new threats emerged … from SPACE! Caught in the crossfire between two warring alien empires – Earth’s mightiest heroes must take a stand. The fate of our world depends on it!

Batman: The Brave and the Bold (Special Marathon)

Airs Friday, July 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET/PT

The Caped Crusader teams up with heroes from across the DC Universe, delivering non-stop action and adventure with a touch of comic relief. Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and others fight crime alongside Batman, although their differing powers and personalities are often at odds with the Dark Knight’s style.

The Invincible Iron Man (2007) (Special Presentation)

Past and present collide in this epic adventure that reveals the origin of Iron Man. While raising the ruins of a long buried Chinese kingdom, billionaire inventor Tony Stark digs up far more than he bargained for. He unleashes an age-old prophecy that foretells the resurrection of the Mandarin, the emperor of China’s darkest and most violent dynasty. In order to confront the destructive force, Tony creates an armored suit infused with high-tech weaponry. To stop the evil that he himself has raised from the earth, Tony must become his greatest invention ever – Iron Man!

Superman/Batman Public Enemies (2009) (Special Presentation)

United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a Kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty on the heads of the Man of Steel and his partner-in-crime Batman.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)

CRASH CANYON CANADA DAY

Join the Wendells for back-to-back episodes on Canada Day and follow them as they take a life-altering turn when they drive off a cliff and land at the bottom of a canyon. With no way to get out, the Wendells, who usually don’t spend time together, are forced to put up with each other and build a life for themselves in their new home – Crash Canyon. Luckily their everyday lives become extraordinary as they encounter many weird and wonderful characters who have also arrived the very same way, including an astronaut and his chimp companion, a family of wealthy jerks, a has-been British punk rocker, a ventriloquist and his abusive dummy, a woman with a bear for a servant and many more. FRED AT NIGHT

Fred Kennedy continues to host the “Fred at Night” programming block Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Fred introduces series’ episodes for the night, shares his views on the animation style, characters and storylines and provides commentary on his many passions from music, comics, movies, technology, celebrities and current events. TELETOON at Night caters to an audience of older teens and adults with a lineup of edgy animated comedies and blockbuster movies.

Futurama (New Episode)

This epic animated sci-fi comedy from Matt Groening, creator of The Simpsons, set in the year 3000 follows the life of Phillip Fry, a pizza delivery boy who accidentally stumbles into a freezer on December 31, 1999 and wakes up a thousand years later. In his future home of “New New York City,” Fry goes to work for the Planet Express Intergalactic delivery company, where he becomes friends with Bender, a beer-fueled robot and sets his romantic sights on Leela, a sexy Cyclops who occasionally beats him up.

Old-school stop-motion animation and fast-paced satire are the hallmarks of this eclectic show created by Seth Green and Matt Senreich. Action figures find new life as players in frenetic sketch-comedy vignettes that skewer TV, movies, music and celebrity.

Archer (Encore Presentations)
Airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. ET/PT

Archer revolves around the spy agency known as the International Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS) and the lives of its employees. Although their work of espionage, reconnaissance missions, wiretapping and undercover surveillance is daunting and enigmatic, every covert operation and global crisis are actually unmitigated occasions for the ISIS staff to undermine, sabotage and betray each other for personal gain, pleasure and prosperity. The series features the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Judy Greer and Amber Nash.

The Punisher (2004)

FBI special agent Frank Castle’s final assignment goes horribly wrong when a young man, Bobby Saint, is inadvertently killed. Bobby’s father, Howard Saint, a wealthy businessman with ties to the criminal underworld, blames Castle and takes his revenge by murdering Castle’s wife and son. With nothing left of his former life, Castle vows to avenge his family by providing justice for ordinary people and exacting retribution from society’s villains as The Punisher. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

John Connor is now in his 20s and a female terminator, called T-X or Terminatrix, is after him. SPIDERMAN MARATHON

To prepare fans for the newest spidey film, The Amazing Spider-Man, coming to theatres TELETOON Retro will be airing a special Spiderman marathon on Thursday, July 5 starting at 6 p.m. ET.

Airs Thursday, July 5 from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight ET

Based on the hugely popular Marvel Comics adventures, one of the world’s most beloved characters swings into action in this half-hour animated adventure series. With his super-strength, agility and ability to stick to and climb walls, Spiderman takes on New York City’s most dangerous villains.
