"The Simpsons" Episode "Cape Feare" Used as Basis for Expermental Theater "Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play"

The New York Times has taken a look at Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play, a stage show by the Civilians that uses The Simpsons episode “Cape Feare” as a central element , as survivors of a global power outage that destroys nearly all of the United States commit the episode to memory. The play examines the changes that occur over 80 years, as the performance of the episode becomes a copy of a copy and morphs into something nearly unrecognizable.

Mr. Burns, a Post-Electric Play is running through July 1, 2012, at the Wooly Mammoth Theater Company in Washington, DC.
