Animation Contest for Prophetic Douglas Adams Recording on Evolution of Books

PC Advisor reports on an international competition run by The Literary Platform to animate a short audio recording of the late Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) that proved prophetic in charting the evolution of books from stone tablets to bound paper to electronic reading devices. The entries must be done using a platform called Launchpad6 and may use part or all of the recording (available at the contest submission page). The winner to be announced on this year’s Towel Day (May 25), which commemorates Adams’ works. The winner will receive an iPad 2 with Douglas Adams books and apps and a “Don’t Panic” towel. Contestants may get full details and submit their entries at the Literary Platform’s contest site.
