84th Academy Award Nominations Announced; No Best Animated Feature Noms for "Cars 2" or "Tintin"

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for the 84th annual Academy Awards. Both Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2 and Paramount’s The Adventures of Tintin were snubbed for a Best Animated Feature nomination, marking the first time that a Pixar feature will not be in contention for the Oscar. Tintin was also snubbed in technical categories as well, earning only one nomination for Best Original Score.
