This episode is the very first episode that aired and it held some pretty big excitement for loyal Looney Tunes Fans. Unfortunately, this episode turned out to be not as spectacular as most fans were hoped. Even so, there is some decent moments in this episode to talk about. I liked the general idea of the plot, the characters who were involved, and I chuckled a few times at Daffy’s lack of knowledge when answering questions. But, I think this type of episode can only work well with characters who actually share a wacky friendship. In the classic shorts, Bugs and Daffy aren’t the best of friends and have a much more antagonistic relationship. I think it would have played out better if they instead used the first episode to introduce how Daffy moved in with Bugs. That would’ve been a very fun way to begin the series. I still think the game show idea was great because of the potential to cause all sorts of chaos between Bugs and Daffy.
Even though this series had a poor start, I don’t think it’s anywhere near terrible. The writers do have a good idea going with Bugs and Daffy living together, but it feels like they should try to go back and watch the old cartoons again to see how antagonistic these characters were towards one another. Overall, one hundred points for the concept and 0 points for the execution.
