Warner Archives releases "Valley of the Dinosaurs" on DVD Next Week
Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Warner Archives will release the Hanna-Barbera cartoon Valley of the Dinosaurs on DVD through their Manufacture On Demand program on March 22, 2011.
The show is about the Butler family who were traveling the Amazon River until their boat was capsized and fell into a whirlpool that goes to a prehistoric world, befriending a caveman family they find there.
Valley of the Dinosaurs was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, and aired on CBS 1974. The cartoon features the voices of Mike Road (Race Bannon from Jonny Quest, and Zandor from The Herculoids) as John Butler, Shannon Farnon (Wonder Woman from the Superfriends) as Kim Butler, Kathy Gori (Rosemary the Telephone Operator from Hong Kong Phooey) as Katie Butler, Jackie Earle Haley (The Bad News Bears, Watchmen, and A Nightmare on Elm Street) as Greg Butler, Alan Oppenheimer (Skeletor from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon) as Gorok, Melanie Baker as Tana, Joan Gardner as Gara, and Frank Welker as Digger, Glump, Lok.
The 2 disc set will contain all 16 episodes from the series, and will be sold through the Warner Bros. website.
