UPDATED: Ruby-Spears Version of "Superman" Coming to DVD

Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Warner is releasing the Ruby-Spears version of Superman on DVD on November 3rd.

Superman is back as he protects Metropolis from evil. Also included is Superman’s Family Album chronicles Clark Kent’s childhood in Smallville.

Superman was produced by Ruby-Spears Enterprises, and aired on CBS back in 1988 to coincide Superman’s 50th anniversary. The show features the voices of Beau Weaver (Mr. Fantasic from the 90′s Fantastic Four cartoons)as Superman/Clark Kent, Ginny McSwain as Lois Lane, Michael Bell (Duke from G.I. Joe, Plastic Man) as Lex Luthor, Stanley Ralph Ross (Grodd the Gorilla from Challenge of the Superfriends) as Perry White, Mark L. Taylor (Firestorm from Superfriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show) as Jimmy Olsen, Alan Oppenheimer (Skeletor from He-Man & the Masters of the Universe) as Pa Kent, Lynne Stewart (Miss Yvonne from Pee-Wee’s Playhouse) as Jessica Morganberry, Tress MacNeille (Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Rugrats) as Ma Kent, and B.J. Ward (Scarlett from G.I. Joe) as Wonder Woman.

The 2 disc set will contain all 13 episodes from the series, and include a featurette dealing with LexCorp.

The Ruby-Spears version of Superman will arrive in stores on November 3rd, 2009.
