'Where The Wild Things Are' Trailer Debuts

The trailer for the Warner Bros. live-action/CGI/puppetry fantasy adventure Where The Wild Things Are is now available at Apple.com.

Based on the classic children’s book by Maurice Sendak, the film is directed by Spike Jonze and opens in theaters October 16th.

Jonze has stated in several interviews that he has gone to great lengths to avoid using computer animation in order to create an authentic and realistic-looking world for the film. The costumes and puppetry were designed by The Jim Henson Company, and digital animation was added in post-production only to “streamline the look of the character’s movements and expressions.”
