"Princess and the Frog" Previewed at Red Stick International Animation Festival

AWN’s Animation Blogspot has examined the preview of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog which was shown at the Ink and Paint Club luncheon in Baton Rouge, LA, in advance of the Red Stick International Animation Festival. Emily Hoppe, senior manager of creative marketing at Walt Disney Animation Studios, discussed the role Disney and The Princess and the Frog will play at the April festival and screened work-in-progress scenes for the audience. She also insisted that The Princess and the Frog was the rebirth of Disney’s hand-drawn animation efforts, stating that “John (Lasseter) said 2D became the scapegoat for bad scripting.”
