Marshall and Kennedy Update "Tintin" and "The Last Airbender" Status

Producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy took some time during promotions for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to talk about some of the other projects they’re working on. Kennedy confirmed that the Tintin movies to be directed by Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg are still in progress and still planned to be a trilogy, with the director of the third film expected to be one of the pair (see Toon Zone’s coverage of the announcement and latest story of the Tintin trilogy).

Marshall noted that his next producing project will be The Last Airbender, the live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s Avatar the Last Airbender animated series to be directed by M. Night Shyamalan. According to the report, the movie is set to begin production in March (see Toon Zone’s coverage of the announcement and latest story about The Last Airbender).
