Kids Channel Focusing on Values and Literacy Added
to RCN Linear Channel Lineups

(Herndon, VA and West Palm Beach, Fla. – November 10, 2008) – ION Media Networks, Inc. and RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading provider of digital television, data and voice services to residential and small – medium business customers, today announced an agreement to launch Qubo Channel, the TV and online entertainment service for children, in New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

Qubo Channel becomes the second ION Media Networks channel available to RCN’s major market systems, joining ION Television, which is already carried in New York, Philadelphia and Washington DC.

Qubo Channel is a groundbreaking, bilingual television network for children that focuses on literacy, values and healthy lifestyles, while celebrating the unlimited possibilities of a child’s imagination. Most of Qubo Channel’s shows are associated with popular children’s books, and the network’s interstitial programming continues to reinforce messages about early literacy and healthy living. Qubo Channel features an expanded lineup of popular children’s programming, including VEGGIETALES, DRAGON, JACOB TWO TWO, BOO! and THEODORE TUGBOAT, among many others.
