Animation Collective and CANAL+ Family Announce Broadcast Partnership on Multiple Kid’s Series’

CANAL+’s Children and Family Channels Acquire Broadcast Rights for Ellens Acres, Three Delivery, HTDT and Jolly Rabbit

Cannes , France – MIPCOM – (October 14, 2008) – New York-based Animation Collective and France ‘s CANAL+ today announced a broadcast partnership on four animated series: “Three Delivery”, “Ellen’s Acres”, “Jolly Rabbit”, and “HTDT”. Each of the original series was created by Larry Schwarz , founder and CEO of Animation Collective.

“Three Delivery,” produced as a U.S./Canadian co-venture by Animation Collective and Fatkat Studios in partnership with YTV, currently airs in the U.S. on Nicktoons Network and will premiere in early 2009 on YTV and SRC in Canada, Nickelodeon Australia, and CBBC in the UK. The 26 x 22 minute series about a group of teenage delivery kids/super heroes is set in Chinatown and animated in a highly graphic comic-book style. The show is scheduled to premiere on October 27th on CANAL+ Family Channel.

“Ellen’s Acres,” a 52 x 11 minute pre-school series, tells the story of a precocious 5-year-old who roams her family’s hotel with her feather duster, tire, and huge imagination. TV Ontario Kids and Cartoon Network UK air the show while launches are forthcoming for ABC ( Australia ), Al Jazeera, Spacetoon ( Indonesia ) and True Corp ( Thailand ). Ellens Acres will air on CANAL+’s preschool channel PIWI.
“Jolly Rabbit” follows the madcap adventures of a spunky, early-teen rabbit as he navigates the seas with his band of punk-rocking buddies in search of his missing leg. In addition to CANAL+ Family, the 52 x 11 min series will air on CBBC in the UK and ABC Australia.

Off-the-wall “HTDT” illustrates what happens when a scientifically re-engineered Humpty Dumpty is teamed-up with ten-year-old genius Axel and his babysitter Arisa to protect the kingdom of Olde Story from evil. This 52 x 11 minute comedy will keep kids entertained while teaching lessons along the way. The series has been ordered by CW 4Kids for broadcast in the U.S. on Saturday mornings and will air in France on CANAL+’s TéléTOON.

When orphans Sue, Sid and Tobey were recruited by Nana to make deliveries for Wu’s Garden Chinese restaurant, they saw it as a way to move out of the orphanage and have a chance to ride cool bikes. Little did they know then, that they would find themselves on a quest to recover magical recipes missing from an ancient Chinese cookbook. These three teenage heroes, skilled in Kung Fu and extreme biking, must use their talents to battle the evil Kong Li who wants to take over Chinatown and the world.

An idiotic and irreverent high seas adventure for boys, Jolly Rabbit is the tale of an early teen rabbit who awakens one morning to find someone has stolen his leg. Leaving the safety of his boyhood burrow, he takes to the sea and makes friends with a punk-rocking trio who are inexplicably and precariously in control of a pirate ship. Together, they have wild adventures, made more interesting by the relentless Captain Squid. The Captain unluckily stole Jolly’s left leg thinking it would bring him luck. Now Squid will stop at nothing to get the right one.

When all the King’s horses and all the King’s men couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again, the King’s top bio-nuclear scientist, combined Hydrogen, the lightest element, and Bombinium, the heaviest, to construct a polymer matrix that would bind Humpty Dumpty back together again!
