Paul Newman 1925-2008
The Associated Press reports that legendary Oscar-winning actor Paul Newman died on Friday from complications of lung cancer at his home in Connecticut at the age of 83.
A 10-time Oscar nominee, his film credits include Hud, Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and his major role as Fast Eddie Felson in the films The Hustler and The Color of Money, for which he won the Academy Award.
Newman also provided the voice of Doc Hudson , the Hudson Hornet in the hit Disney/Pixar movie Cars and reprised the role in the short film Mater and the Ghost Light.
Paul is survived by his wife, Oscar-winning actress Joanne Woodward and three children, as well as two more children from a previous marriage.
