Vancouver Sun on the Genesis of "WALL•E"

The Vancouver Sun has taken a look into the making of WALL•E, the Disney/Pixar movie which opens this Friday. The article notes the happy coincidence that brings the movie out just in time to capitalize on a growing environmental awareness, and chats with director Andrew Stanton about the long path from idea to screen with this movie. Among other things, Stanton notes that the Pixar animators visited real recycling centers to see how similar current-day machine do WALL•E’s job.
