Briefly: OIAF Extends Submission Deadline; French TELETOON Retro; More On-Line Videos

* The Ottawa International Animation Festival has extended the deadline for submissions until July 16, 2008, due to technical difficulties with their submission form.

* A new web service called Reframe has opened to make smaller and more esoteric independent film available through the Internet. The effort by the Tribeca Film Institute will offer films for viewing on the Internet and for purchase on DVD through Amazon.com, and several animated films are already represented on the site. * Toon Boom has released Pencil Check Pro 1.0, billed as “the most flexible line testing software in the industry.” It will run on Windows and Mac OS X, and a demo is available. [Macintouch]

* Canada’s TELETOON Retro will be launching a French language version in September 2008 to deliver classic cartoons aimed at th Quebec market.

* According to a press release, the MyToons.com website now offers its content in high-definition video.
