"Speed Racer" Promos, Mobile Game Launch

Glu Mobile has launched Speed Racer, a mobile game based on the upcoming live-action film, on wireless carriers in Europe and North and Latin America, the company said today. The game puts players behind the wheel of the Mach 6 as they navigate racing courses.

Separately, Time Warner Cable says it has launched a promotional campaign for the film. New ads pitting Speed Racer against the Road Runner are designed to draw viewers to RoadRunner.com to view content, including a 20-minute mockumentary, cast interviews, outtakes, and behind-the-scenes footage. The site will also feature a sweepstakes with a Mazda Speed3 as prize.
