Ex-CFO of Pixar May Face Charges for Mishandled Stock Options

Ann Mather, the former CFO for Pixar Animation Studios, has been informed that the Securities and Exchange Commission planned to recommend civil proceedings against her over stock option irregularities, according to the Los Angeles Times (free registration required). The announcement came to light from a regulatory filing from Google, Inc., where Mather is a board member and chair of the audit committee.

The investigation of Pixar’s backdated stock option irregularities began in late 2006, with Pixar CEO and Chairman Steve Jobs cleared of wrongdoing in March 2007.
