Dwayne McDuffie Working on "Ben 10" Revamp

In an article with Comic Book Resources, writer Dwayne McDuffie stated that he and Glen Murakami (Teen Titans) are working on a revamp of Cartoon Network’s Ben 10, which will be “set five years in the future from the show that is currently running” and stated that, “It’s pretty much unlike anything people have ever seen.” It is not stated whether this show would replace or supplement the existing Ben 10 TV show, although the description seems to match the show announced at last year’s Cartoon Network upfront as Ben 10: Hero Generation, or the show described as Ben 10: Alien Force at the ben10toys.net website.

In the rest of the article, McDuffie talks about recent and upcoming changes to DC Comics’ Justice League of America comic, such the drives behind his Vixen and Red Tornado back-up stories and the connections to other DC Comics titles. He will be handing the reins of the title’s main on-going story to writer Alan Burnett (Batman the Animated Series) as of issue #17.
