PR: Boomerang Enlists Caped Crusader for "Boomeraction" Block
Boomerang Enlists Caped Crusader for Monday-Sunday “Boomeraction” Block
The Batman Premieres October 15 in Strip at 11:30 p.m. (ET)
The Batman, an innovative animated television series based on the famed DC Comics super hero will join Boomerang’s late-night line-up beginning October 15. The series will air Monday – Sunday in the network’s “Boomeraction” block at 11:30 p.m. (ET) as a companion show to Boomerang’s signature DC Comic series, Justice League Unlimited. As with all Boomerang presentations, The Batman will air commercial-free.
Featuring some of the most complex and intriguing characters in comic book history in action-packed super heroic adventure, The Batman melds the renowned character’s extraordinary physical prowess and super sleuthing skills with a new range of experimental Bat-gadgets and amped-up Batmobiles.
The series picks up on the young Dark Knight’s story in year three: in his mid-twenties, just finding his way as protector and defender, while balancing his public persona as billionaire Bruce Wayne. The Caped Crusader, who thought he had everything under control, has to face new challenges using his wits as much as his gadgetry. He must step up and take on the new lethal breed of super villains – and learn to become a super hero.
The Batman was produced in 2004 by Warner Bros. Animation for Kids’ WB! and Cartoon Network. The Edge, from multi-Grammy Award winning group U2, composed and performed the series’ theme song.
