31 DAYS OF DISCOVERY KIDS – FREE PREVIEW THIS AUGUST

(July 9, 2007 – Toronto , Canada ) This August, Discovery Kids Canada will be available free of charge to Rogers , Star Choice and Bell ExpressVu subscribers for an entire month. This free preview will allow viewers not currently subscribing to the channel to sample the network’s roster of parent-approved programming for kids, including Animal Atlas, Popular Mechanics for Kids, Endurance, and Cyberchase.

Discovery Kids is Canada ‘s top choice for imaginative and educational series aimed at kids four to 11. The network offers parent-approved television with real life adventure and exciting animated series that are sure to inspire curiousity about the natural world. Viewers taking in the Discovery Kids free preview will also be the first to sneak peek new September programming on Saturday, August 25 – with special airings of the new series Surprise! It’s Edible! Incredible!, Zula Patrol, Home On Their Own and Are We There Yet?

To enjoy a month filled with action and adventure, Rogers Personal TV subscribers can tune into Channel 231, Star Choice subscribers can tune in to Channel 550 and Bell ExpressVu subscribers can tune into channel 559.

For viewers who can’t get enough, Rogers subscribers will receive an extended free preview from September 1 – 3 on Rogers Cable 1 and analogue channel 59, with special back-to-school programming and the network premiere of the critically-acclaimed and Oscar®-nominated documentary Spellbound. Airing September 1 at
1 p.m. ET and September 2 at 6 p.m. ET, this feature presentation which spotlights stories around a National Spelling Bee – is sure to get families ready for a new school year with drama and laughs.
