Viz to launch 4 new shonen titles in fall of 2007

Viz has announced that they will be putting 4 new shonen titles into book form for publication in the Fall of 2007. The titles are Yu!-Gi!-Oh! GX, Tekkonkinkreet, Kurohime and Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation.

Yu!-Gi!-Oh! GX will be hitting stores in November of 2007 for a price of $7.99. The manga is based on the Yu!-Gi!-Oh! GX television show, a much darker show than the original Yu!-Gi!-Oh! that featured many characters from the Lovecraftian horror universe.

Tekkonkinkrett, coming out in September, is a one volume collection of Taiyo Matsumoto’s Black and White manga. The collection was the basis for the Tekkonkinkrett anime movie which will be coming to America in mid-to-late 2007. It is rate 18+ and will retail for $29.99.

Kurohime is a 16+ rated magical comedy adventure series. It is currently at 12 volumes and is still ongoing in Japan. No price point was announced. It will be available in September.

Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation, rated 13+, is a supernatural detective story. Resembling Ghostbusters with a legal twist, the title characters are investigators charged with assisting their clients in dealing with unwanted ghosts and other supernatural beings. The manga will debut in October at a retail price of $7.99.
