"Happy Feet" Dances Away with Oscar

Happy Feet has won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film of 2007, beating out Pixar’s Cars and Sony’s Monster House. This marks the first year since 2002 that a Pixar picture in competition has not won the Oscar. The Incredibles was named the Best Animated Feature of 2005, and Finding Nemo took the trophy in 2004. Monsters Inc. lost to Shrek in 2002.

“The Danish Poet” took the Oscar for Best Animated Short Subject.

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly said that this was the first time a Pixar film in competition has not won the Best Animated Feature Oscar. Thanks to Toon Zone reader Inkan1969 for catching the error.
