* Disney Channel finished 2006 as basic cable’s second-most-watched network in primetime in Total Viewers (2.54 million), topping third-place TNT by 6% (2.40 million).

* Disney Channel stood as basic cable’s No. 1 network in prime for the fourth year running in Kids 6-11 (1.06 million/4.4 rating), with the streak six straight years in Tweens 9-14 (930,000/3.8 rating).

* On a 24-hour programming basis (Monday-Sunday, 6:00-6:00 a.m.), Disney Channel finished 2006 as basic cable’s No. 1 network in Kids 6-11 (545,000/2.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (469,000/1.9 rating), defeating Nick/Nick-at-Nite by 5% (517,000/2.1 rating) and 11% (421,000/1.7 rating), respectively.

* 2006 rated as Disney Channel’s most-watched year of all time in Prime in Total Viewers (2.54 million), Kids 6-11 (1.06 million), Girls 6-11 (690,000), Tweens 9-14 (930,000) and Tween Girls (601,000). 2006 also stands as the Network’s most-watched year on record in Boys 6-11 (370,000) and Tween Boys (329,000).

* In 2006, Disney Channel enjoyed its most-watched year in Total Day in Total Viewers (1.46 million), Kids 6-11 (545,000), Girls 6-11 (349,000), Boys 6-11 (196,000), Tweens 9-14 (469,000), Tween Girls (305,000) and Tween Boys (164,000).

* 2006 now stands as the most-watched year on record for the Net’s Playhouse Disney block (Mon-Sun, 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.), with the daypart delivering all-time high numbers in Total Viewers (1.08 million), Kids 2-5 (385,000), Girls 2-5 (208,000), Boys 2-5 (177,000) and Women 18-49 (196,000).

* Since its debut on January 20, 2006, “High School Musical” has reached a remarkable 100 million Viewers Worldwide. In the U.S. alone, “High School Musical” has reached 42.6 million Viewers, 11.3 million Kids 6-11 and 12.0 million Tweens 9-14.

* The premiere of original movie “The Cheetah Girls 2″ (Friday, August 25, 2006, 8:00-9:55 p.m.) stood as TV’s No. 1 movie telecast of 2006 (broadcast and basic cable), marking the 6th consecutive year that Disney Channel has been home to TV’s most-watched movie in Kids 6-11 (3.36 million/13.8 rating), with the streak 5 years in Tweens 9-14 (3.30 million/13.4 rating).

* Live-action original series “Hannah Montana” finished as basic cable’s No. 1 series of 2006 in Kids 6-11 (1.24 million/5.1 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (1.12 million/4.6 rating), and one of TV’s top-rated series overall (broadcast and basic cable), behind only Fox’s “American Idol.”

* Original series “The Replacements” stood as 2006’s most-watched animated series on basic cable in Kids 6-11 (1.12 million/4.6 rating).

* Live-action Disney Channel series “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” placed No. 4 among all 2006 basic cable series in Tweens 9-14 (918,000/3.7 rating) and No. 5 in Kids 6-11 (1.04 million/4.3 rating).

* Still going strong, “That’s So Raven,” which launched on Disney Channel in January 2003, finished among basic cable’s Top 10 series in Kids 6-11 (#10; 951,000/3.9 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (#9; 819,000/3.3 rating).

* Playhouse Disney series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked among the Top 10 series on all basic cable in Kids 2-5 (#9, 724,000/4.6 rating).

* 2006 vs. 2005, Disney Channel grew by double-digits in Primetime in Total Viewers (20%, 2.54 million vs. 2.12 million), Kids 6-11 (25%, 1,060,000 vs. 849,000) and Tweens 9-14 (26%, 930,000 vs. 737,000).

* In Total Day, 2006 vs. 2005, Disney Channel increased by a significant 19% in Total Viewers (1.46 million vs. 1.23 million), 29% in Kids 6-11 (545,000 vs. 424,000) and 28% in Tweens 9-14 (469,000 vs. 366,000).
