Larry the Cable Guy Gets His Own Cartoon Show
The Hollywood Reporter (via Reuters) reports that Larry the Cable Guy will work on an animated pilot for Comedy Central.
The “Blue Collar” comedian will star as a misguided but well-intentioned co-owner of a cable TV station whose other owner is a woman of class and taste who does not share his vision for programming — preferring instead a more traditional station lineup to Larry’s experimental, half-baked show ideas. As can be expected, they seldom agree on anything.
Larry is co-creator along with Jole Cohen and Alec Sokolow, the writers of Toy Story.
No word on when the pilot will air.
