Playhouse Disney October 2006 and Year-to-date Highlights

The following are highlights of Playhouse Disney’s performance for October 2006 and for the year up through October:

In October 2006, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” ranked as the #1 basic cable series with Girls 2-5 (374,000/4.8 rating), and finished among the Top 5 in Kids 2-5 (#4 – 693,000/4.4 rating).

Calendar year to date, “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” rates among basic cable’s Top 10 series in Kids 2-5 (#10 – 720,000/5.7 rating – averaging all plays), the first time ever a Playhouse Disney series has ranked among the Top 10 in the key kid demo.

Aided by “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney block (Monday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) has delivered the daypart’s three largest monthly audiences in the network’s history in the past three months in the key Kid 2-5 demo: August ’06 (419,000), October ’06 (402,000) and September ’06 (400,000).

Powered by “Little Einsteins,” Disney Channel’s pre-school targeted Playhouse Disney block (Monday-Sunday, 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) was home to 4 of Sunday’s Top 5 TV telecasts (broadcast and basic cable) in Kids 2-5, making October 29, 2006 the daypart’s second most-watched day ever in the key kid demo (690,000 – behind 9/16/06).
