OTAKON 2006: Bandai Reveals "Fighting Fairy Girl"

At Bandai’s Premiere Video Reel, the company showed off one of its newest, previously unreleased titles, entitled Fighting Fairy Girl: Rescue Me, Mave-chan!

The main star is a young boy named Rei, a typical loser who has finally worked up the courage to attend an anime convention (this one featuring Yukikaze and Stratos 4). There, he is whisked away to another world where various anime girl stereotypes inhabit a desolate wasteland, dreamed up by the love of anime fans back in the 80s and early 90s. However, with the introduction of mass-produced anime, the girls are in danger of disappearing from the public consciousness (their life source) altogether thanks to the evil, and cheesy, giant villain Forgotten.

The dub was produced by ZRO Limit and Animaze and features Johnny Yong Bosch, Michelle Ruff, and Kari Wahlgren, among others.

No release date for Fighting Fairy Girl: Rescue Me, Mave-chan! was announced.
