Comedy Central: "South Park" Ad Not Aimed at Mel Gibson

Representatives from Comedy Central had to state that a recent ad for South Park was not meant to exploit the public relations problems actor Mel Gibson is facing over anti-Semitic remarks made during a driving-while-intoxicated incident (free registration required). Instead, the ad intended to exploit the public relations problems actor Tom Cruise faced over the “Trapped in a Closet” episode of South Park by highlighting the fact that the episode was nominated for an Emmy award.
