Disney Reports $733M Profit in 2Q 2006
The Walt Disney Company has reported a 3 million profit for the second quarter of 2006, largely due to increased ratings on ABC and cable networks and increased attendance at their theme parks. The profit represents a 19% increase from the same period a year ago. Despite the growth on television and theme parks, the film studio division showed some weakness in lower-than-expected box office revenues and home video sales.
