"Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" to Debut on May 5

A press release from the Walt Disney Company has announced that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse will debut on Friday, May 5. The show will be “the first Mickey Mouse series created specifically for preschoolers,” and will also be the first TV show to use CGI to animate Disney’s “Sensational Six” (Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Goofy, and Daisy and Donald Duck). It will combine entertainment with early-learning fundamentals, using an interactive approach to get preschoolers to play games, solve puzzles, and talk to their TVs.

The premiere episode is scheduled for Friday, May 5 at 7:30 PM (ET/PT) on the Disney Channel. Its regular timeslot will be on Saturdays at 9:00 AM (ET/PT) during the Playhouse Disney programming block, beginning on May 6.
