China Bans Human/Toon Movies

A report in Variety states that the Chinese government has banned foreign films that mix human and animated characters, as done in Space Jam or Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The ban will only apply to future films. At least one industry analyst belives the ban is driven by a desire to boost China’s domestic animation industry.
