On-line Comics Previews for October 28, 2005: Zombie Tales, Jonah Hex, Sgt. Rock

Several on-line comics previews are now available on the Internet. They include:

– An 8-page preview of Zombie Tales: Oblivion from Boom! Studios is available at Comic Book Resources.com. The anthology book includes work by Mark Waid, Mark Badger, and Keith Giffen, and is on comic book stands now.

– An interview with writer James Kuhoric about Dynamite Entertainment’s Army of Darkness vs. Reanimator contains a nine-page preview of issue #1, on comic book stands now.

– Batton Lash of Exhibit A Press has begun publishing his Supernatural Law comic for free on the web. The comic focuses on the law firm of Alanna Wolf and Jeff Byrd, whose clientele includes zombies, vampires, ghosts, and other macabre creatures of the night. Lash was also interviewed by Comic Book Resources.com about the decision to publish on the web.

– Mile High Comics previews books from Marvel and DC scheduled for release on November 2, 2005. Included are Jonah Hex #1 (DC) by Justin Gray, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Luke Ross; Marvel Team-Up #14 (Marvel) by Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker; and Sentinel #1 (Marvel) by Sean McKeever and Udon.

– Several preview pages of The Books of Doom #1 from Marvel Comics are available at Newsarama.com. The series is written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Pablo Raimondi and focuses on the Fantastic Four’s green-cloaked arch nemesis. Issue #1 is due out in November.

– A Comicon.com’s PULSE News feature article on The Carnival of Souls by Jazan Wild and Stefan Petrucha contains several pages of preview artwork. The next issue, published by Markosia Comics, is due in December.

– A profile article about Sal Cipriano’s The Adventures of Bio Boy contains several advance preview pages from the first three issues of the comic. The book focuses on Bio Boy, a contestant in perpetual life-threatening peril in the universe’s #1 game show. The Adventures of Bio Boy is published by Speakeasy Comics.

– Several comics from DC being released in January are previewed at Comic Book Resources.com, including JLA: Classified #16 by Gail Simone, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, and Klaus Janson; and Sgt. Rock: The Prophecy #1 (of 6) by Joe Kubert.

– Comic Book Resources.com has 15 preview pages and several pin-ups from Sentinels Book 3: Echoes, a self-published comic by Rich Bernatovech and Luciano Vecchio which focuses on a team of second-generation superheroes.
