DreamWorks Animation Shows Loss in Second Quarter
DreamWorks Animation lost $3.7 million in the second quarter of 2005, the company said today. That compared to a profit of $146.1 million in the same quarter last year. Quarterly revenues fell to $35.4 million from $300.3 million in the same period last year.
For the six months ended June 30, DreamWorks Animation had revenues of $42.0 million, down from $120.7 million in the first half of 2004. Six-month revenues fell to $202.3 million from $341.1 million.
On a full year basis, the company reaffirmed its expectation for earnings per share of approximately $0.80 to $0.90 for 2005.
