Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood Trashes Tickle U.

by onAugust 24, 2005

The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood has issued a statement condemning Cartoon Network’s claim that their Tickle U. block of programming will aid in developing a child’s sense of humor. The CCFC claims that the block is a ploy designed for marketing rather than education or development, while Cartoon Network counter-claims that they maintain a clear distinction between programming and commercials. Neither side made any claim as to whether any of the programming is actually funny.
