Disney Seeks Dismissal of Disney/Gold Lawsuit

by on June 2, 2005

The Disney Corporation has requested that a Delaware judge dismiss the recent lawsuit brought against the company by Roy E. Disney and Stanley Gold, according to an article in the Los Angeles Times (free registration required). Disney and Gold, Disney’s most consistent critics, are alleging that shareholders were misled on the thoroughness of the search for a successor to outgoing CEO Michael Eisner. Delaware Chancery Court Chief Judge William B. Chandler III has deferred ruling on Disney’s request for the moment.
