Kids WB February Ratings Report

For the February Sweep, Kids WB captured its 14th consecutive broadcast sweep win, building on its November Sweep momentum and outperforming the broadcast competition among the key demographics of Kids 2-11 (2.4/10), Kids 6-11 (2.8/12), Boys 2-11 (3.2/13), Boys 6-11 (4.1/17) and Tweens 9-14 (2.8/15). The network also ranked #1 over all Saturday morning competition among Male Tweens 9-14 (4.5/22). During the February sweep, Kids WB was the only broadcast network to finish with programs in the top 10 among all competition, including cable, in all key demos. Among the broadcast competition, the network took the top seven program spots in Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, as well as the top five spots among all broadcast and cable competition in Male Tweens 9-14.

Xiaolin Showdown and The Batman, from Warner Bros. Animation, have received a total of five Emmy Award nominations. Xiaolin Showdown is nominated for “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing,” and The Batman earned four nominations for “Outstanding Special Class Animated Program,” “Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition,” “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing” and for “Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program,” recognizing Kevin Michael Richardson for his unique performance as “The Joker.”

Individual Program Highlights

Pokémon Advanced Challenge (10:00 a.m. ET) finished as the #1 broadcast program for February Sweep in Kids 2-11 (3.0/11) and Kids 6-11 (3.5/14). The series took the #2 spot, only behind Yu-Gi-Oh! Waking The Dragons, in Boys 2-11 (3.8/14), #3 in Tweens 9-14 (3.5/16) and #4 in Boys 6-11 (4.7/18), and ranked #3 among all programs in Male Tweens 9-14 (5.4/24).

Yu-Gi-Oh! Waking The Dragons (11:00 am ET) took the #1 broadcast program spot for the February Sweep in Boys 2-11 (3.9/15), Boys 6-11 (5.0/20), and Tweens 9-14 (3.8/17), while also ranking as the #1 program among all competition, including cable, in Male Tweens 9-14 (6.0/26). Yu-Gi-Oh! Waking The Dragons (11:30 a.m. ET) also ranked #1 in Boys 6-11 (5.0/21), #2 in Tweens 9-14 (3.7/17) and as the #2 overall program among Male Tweens 9-14 (5.8/25).

The Batman
(10:30 am ET) ranked among the top five broadcast spots in the key demos of Kids 2-11 (2.7/10), Kids 6-11 (3.0/12), Boys 2-11 (3.6/13), Boys 6-11 (4.2/16), Tweens 9-14 (2.9/13) and among the top five overall program spots in Male Tweens 9-14 (4.6/20).

Saturday, February 26

For the final Saturday morning of the February Sweep, Saturday February 26, Kids WB ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Kids 2-11 (2.5/10), Kids 6-11 (3.0/13), Boys 2-11 (3.3/14), Boys 6-11 (4.4/18), Girls 6-11 (1.4/6), tying ABC Kids, and Tweens 9-14 (3.0/15). The network outperformed all broadcast and cable networks to rank #1 in Male Tweens 9-14 (4.9/24). Among Kids 2-11, Kids WB topped the performances of CBS (1.6/7), ABC Kids (1.0/4), Fox (1.0/4) and NBC (0.8/3). Among Kids 6-11, the network beat Fox (1.4/6), ABC Kids (1.2/5), CBS (0.8/4) and NBC (0.8/3).

Program highlights include ¡Mucha Lucha! Gigante, at 8:30 a.m. ET, outperformed the competition and delivered season highs among Kids 2-11 (2.3/11), Girls 2-11 (1.6/8), Girls 2-5 (1.8/8) and Girls 6-11 (1.5/8).
