Cartoon Network Ratings Report for 2/14 to 2/20

Following last week’s advertising Upfront presentation, Cartoon Network scored eight straight weeks of double-digit growth in prime time and kids total day among its target kids 6-11 and kids 2-11 demos, according to Nielsen Media Research. Tweens 9-14 charted even stronger double-digit growth. Highlights of Cartoon Network’s performance vs. the same time period last year include the following:

Prime Time (Monday-Sunday, 8-11 pm)
*Kids 6-11 delivery (695,000) expanded by 22% and ratings (2.9) by 21%.
*Kids 2-11 delivery (1,076,000) and ratings (2.7) both grew by 17%.
*Tweens 9-14 delivery (512,000) increased by 28% and ratings (2.1) by 31%.

Kids’ Total Day (Monday-Sunday, 6 am – 6 am, kids’ programming)
*Kids 6-11 delivery (469,000) increased by 14% and ratings (1.9) by 12%.
*Kids 2-11 delivery (779,000) advanced by 13% and ratings (2.0) by 11%.
*Tweens 9-14 delivery (321,000) improved by 21% and ratings (1.3) by 18%.

Adult Swim, soon to be rated individually by Nielsen, scored dramatic growth across its target demos, thanks primarily to the premiere of its newest original series, Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 pm), created by Seth Green and Matthew Seinreich. Ratings and delivery highlights follow:

Adult Swim (Monday-Thursday, Saturday-Sunday, 11 pm-2 am)
*Ranked #1 in its time period on basic cable in delivery of adults 18-34 and 18-24, and men 18-34 and 18-24.
*Adults 18-34 delivery (587,000) grew by 44% and ratings (0.9) by 50%.
*Adults 18-24 delivery (307,000) rose by 52% and ratings (1.1) by 57%.

Robot Chicken (Sunday, 11:30 pm)
*Adults 18-34 delivery (732,000) jumped by 47% and ratings (1.1) by 38%.
*Men 18-34 delivery (413,000) rose by 23% and ratings (1.3) by 30%.
*Women 18-24 delivery (320,000) increased by 98% and ratings (1.0) by 100%.
