Corus Reports Profit Rise in Latest Quarter
Corus Entertainment, parent of YTV and Nelvana, earned $29.1 million in the latest quarter, up from $5.7 million in the same period last year. Revenues fell to $180.6 million from $185.0 million.
Advertising growth lifted revenues and profits at the company’s Television and Radio divisions. But numbers at the Content division fell sharply. Revenues fell to $18.9 million from $30.7 million in the same period last year; segment profits fell to $0.1 million versus $2.6 million earlier.
