CORRECTED: India's Animation Bridge Announces New Projects

India’s Animation Bridge studio has announced a pair of co-productions with European production houses, the Business Standard reports.

The studio will produce the 3D series Stoobie Cooper with the UK’s Richwood Entertainment and Bangalore’s Paprikaas Animation Studios. It will also coproduce Bob Screen with France’s Digital Salade.

Animation Bridge also says it expects Guardians of Luna from Batman: The Animated Series writer Michael Reaves to be ready for broadcast in 2006.

Corrections and Updates: Avi Melman of Cybergraphix Animation, the creative force behind Guardians of Luna, informs us that the article we link to above contains errors and misrepresentations.

A unnamed Japanese company identified in the article as a co-production partner on Guardians of Luna is not officially a co-producer, and it was brought into the Luna project by Cybergraphix, not Animation Bridge. Furthermore, Michael Payne’s The Blood Jaguar has been optioned by Cybergraphix, not Animation Bridge. The Indian firm is not officially a co-producer on that project but is merely “trying to help get the project moving.”

Our article has been edited to reflect these changes. Toon Zone regrets its part in passing along erroneous information.

You can read more about Guardians of Luna in an interview that Avi Melman and Michael Reaves gave to Toon Zone last August.
